Go bitless in your favorite bridle! Convert your own bridle and save. Includes noseband, chinstrap, cover, and connector strap (back to the throatlatch) for leading/lunging/groundwork.  Attaches to your bridle cheekpieces up to 1" wide to go bitles

Go bitless in your favorite bridle.

Includes noseband, chinstrap, and connector strap (back to the throatlatch) for leading/lunging/groundwork.

  • Convert your own bridle to bitless and save.
  • Gives you more options for fitting different sizes.
  • fits most bridle styles including driving bridles.
  • DO NOT USE FOR TYING UP - like all leather bridles, it will break if tied solid (even to baling twine).

For those that would love to use their own bridle, the Light Rider Bitless Noseband allows you to go bitless in your favorite bridle.
Make use of those bridles you have at home by converting them to bitless giving you options for more horses and ponies, and equestrian pursuits like driving.
Simply attach it to your bridle cheekpieces (fits all standard 5/8" to 1"/25mm cheek straps) instead of a bit, and you have a LightRider Bitless bridle at a more affordable price.

Unique Chinstrap: The soft webbing chin strap keeps the noseband from twisting to give clear and direct communication.
This means you can use lighter rein aids. When rein pressure is applied the chinstrap becomes snug but does not over-tighten due to the type of webbing used.

90% of the pressure is on top of the nose, and the horse can self-release the chinstrap easily for eating, yawning, etc.

The bridle can also be used as a side pull by clipping the chinstrap and noseband rings together (recommended to start with if your horse hasn't experienced a chinstrap before). Learn more about the use of the chinstrap here

Check the sizing guide to ensure you have the right size for your horse.  (exchanges are welcome but shipping is expensive!).

We recommend using scissor rein clips for easy change over to the leading ring which enables groundwork/leading/lunging or buy LightRider Reins that include rein clips to match.

Take advantage of the FREE email photo consultation to check the bridle fit and sizing for your horse within the 30-day return period (from the date of receiving). When emailing photos, please reduce the size to less than 2MB if you can.

Amazing

By: on 9 March 2024
Me and my horse both love this bridle. My horse has a very sensitive mouth and issues with a bit.. I've tried a couple of different bits and bridles, and they didn't make any difference. I tried a mechanical hackamore, but my horse just didn't respond well to it. Anyway, both me and my horse love this bitless noseband. I found it pretty easy transitioning to bitless, as my horse responded really well to it. She goes even better in this bridle than with a bit. No more head tossing, less rushing at jumps. I love how you can literally buy this noseband and attach it to your horse's regular bridle. I'm so happy I'm able to do Pony Club in it also. One thing that could be improved is the beta bio thane padding is quite firm, would be nice if it was softer. But overall, love it.

Love my new Bitless bridle nose band. Looking forward to being able to afford to buy more of them to change over my bitted bridles to Bitless.

GAME CHANGER

By: on 30 October 2022
This bitless noseband converter is a total game changer. I had just purchased a new western bridle and did not want to buy another standard bitless bridle and my boy was having to ride in a bit, which he put up with, but I knew he preferred no bit. I stumbled across Lightrider bitless bridles and noseband converter, and I HAD to have them. If I hadn't already had a western bridle, I liked I definitely would have gotten the Lightrider western. The noseband is so versatile. My horse is so happy bitless and now with this converter he looks good and rides even better. The Tan matched my western bridle perfectly. Thank you Lightrider and thankyou Natural Horse World for your amazing service.

Great quality and service.

By: on 26 October 2022
We have purchased 4 bitless nosebands as our horses really work well with them. We do a range of disciplines from basic dressage at club level, low-level jumping, and cross country along with barrel racing, working equitation and extreme obstacles, and of course, trail riding.

Impressed LOVE LOVE LOVE

By: on 4 October 2022
I have used so many bitless bridles, every different style you can find. I stayed with a bit because I had just purchased a beautiful western bridle for my horse but he is never happy in a bit and rides so much better bitless so I tried so many bits to make him happy. Finding this converter has changed us. He gets to be happy without a bit and I get to keep my beautiful western bridle. The most amazing thing was the colour was almost an exact match to my bridle so you can't even tell they are not a complete set. I also purchased the complete bitless bridle for my other horse too. So easy to put together, no poll pressure, no cross unders that don't release pressure when relaxed. Game changer and I will never look at another bit again. If your looking to go bitless, this is it.. PS... Super speedy postage too which impressed me even more.

LightRider Bitless Noseband with beta Biothane

24 March 2021
This replaced my original bitless noseband that was used regularly for many years and began to stiffen. The new product is soft and flexible and continues to offer the horse cues from the noseband and chinstrap he has come to understand and respect. Offers freedom to safely graze on long trail rides. The new chinstrap cover is a nice addition.

Useful Bitless Attachment

By: on 14 August 2020
I already use bitless bridles so I didn't need the entire bridle. I bought just the noseband bit to attach to my current leather stock bridle. The bitless noseband is lovely leather and very well made. I bought the tan one and it blended very well with the bridle. It is easy to use and attach, I was able to check measurements before I bought it to make sure I got the right size. This bitless set up works very well. Compared to a hackamore which I also use (and which feels a bit more like a curb type set up), it feels more like a snaffle. My horse seemed perfectly happy with it straight away even though its action is slightly different to a hackamore.

i have a beautiful leather bridle and wanted to turn it into a bitless. the noseband was perfect! beautifully made, fits the bridle and looks like its part of it and best of all my horse loves it

Well made

By: on 27 February 2020
This is a really well made product. The leather is very nice, the padding is soft, the stitching is neat and the metal fittings are good quality. I fitted this noseband to my existing (different brand, quite expensive) bridle headpiece and cheek pieces and all the parts look good together and you wouldn’t know it’s a hybrid bridle. Putting it all together was easy after watching the video on the website. I am very happy with the result.
(5)

Nice, and very effective.

By: on 28 August 2019
Received it fairly promptly, especially considering it was shipped from Australia. Nicely made. Seemed too big at first look but when I put it on the horse it fit great. He goes really well in it, and it will be his regular bridle going forward. Very happy. Might need another one.

Doc loves Bitless Noseband

By: on 4 July 2019
My horse, Doc, is very "mouthy." He would constantly play with the bit. He loves the bitless noseband and doesn't have anything in his mouth to play with so he can concentrate on my cues better.

Great product! Used this nose band on a leather bridle I won in a raffle. Looks great and fits really well!

Leather noseband

By: on 4 February 2019
I accidentally ordered leather instead of beta, but it will be fine because the underside is totally padded with rubbery material that will still clean easily and protect the life of the noseband. Good job!

This is the best thing I have ever purchased for my horse. I am truly a light Rider without the bit. Amazing. Happy horse, happy rider :)

Nose band fits well, horse seems comfortable and is responsive to it. Easy to fit to standard bridle.

So responsive!

By: on 14 November 2018
I bought a second noseband for my husband’s horse after I tried one on my own horse. I have never heard him comment on our tack until now. He said after just a few minutes of riding with it, “She is so responsive now! I like this!” I couldn’t agree more. Both horses seem much happier going down the trails with these nosebands. The design is unique and works great. Thanks:)

Bitless Noseband

By: on 12 April 2018
This noseband was easy to install on my headstall. No problem adjusting to fit my horse. The first time riding in it went really well. People looking for a bitless option should give these products a try. Your horse will thank you for it.

Love the bitless noseband

By: on 31 March 2018
I wanted to go bitless with a new horse whose previous owner told us “this is the only bit he likes”. I noticed he was fidgety and distracted with that bit. He is responsive to lateral flexion and leg pressure. After much research, I decided I did not want poll pressure for this horse, so I purchased the LightRider bitless noseband. I love that the noseband is available separately, as it made it very affordable. My new horse is so comfortable and responsive in this bridle! He is generally fearful and reactive, but the bridle has helped him relax. No problem stopping, flexing, or backing. In fact, he is lighter because he is not fidgeting with the bit. At first, he drooled every time we slipped the headstall on, in anticipation of the metal bit. Now he slips right into the bridle. A really nice design feature of the LightRider is that it can be used like a halter by clipping to the central ring.

I bought the noseband for my mule. Was easy to set up. He rode just fine. His first bitless bridle!! I'm planning on buying another for my other mule!!!

So pleased

By: on 6 July 2017
I bought this product for my driving pony who was having issues even with a soft rubber bit. I am so glad i did, she has settled down quickly, is happier when being driven and took to the new bridle quickly although she was originally long reined in a rope halter so the change was similar to what she had done before. And the bonus was the bio-thane one i bought matches her existing bridle.

LightRider Bitless Noseband is awesome!

By: on 19 June 2017
I was having difficulty finding a leather bitless noseband so that I could convert my regular bridle into a bitless one. I came across the LightRider website and found what I hoped would be the ideal noseband. It is great. My horse loves it and is so responsive. Thank goodness for the YouTube video about adjusting it, because I had difficulty following the written instructions. The quality is very nice, delivery was prompt, and I think the price was reasonable.

You got it ! and so simple

By: on 23 January 2017
I looked for quite a while for a bitless bridle that fit properly and would not rub holes in my horse's face. This is so simple and works so perfectly ! And you don't have to get the whole bridle, just the bitless attachment if your bridle will support it ! It is made of quality leather, a soft yet sturdy chin strap and the details were not left behind. I am very pleased with it and so is my horse. Thanks you !
(5)

Excellent product

By: on 31 December 2016
This is a great idea, you don't need a whole new bridle as you can just buckle this to a bridle you already have. The quality is great and it works really well. Make sure to watch the video instructions though! ;)

LightRider Bitless Noseband

By: on 14 October 2016
I recently purchased this noseband after 8 years of trying different bits on my gaited gelding, gradually down grading from the severity of the long shanked bit his initial trainer put him in to the Myler snaffle he's been in for the past few months. Image has always been a good boy and has tolerated all of my attempts to find him a comfortable bit with no special resistance other than constantly chewing and mouthing his bit. I have had him checked frequently for mouth or teeth problems by my vet and his teeth have been floated as needed throughout his life with me. I guess I'm a slow learner and bless Image for his patience with me. I finally spent an entire day on line researching bitless headstalls and going to my local tack store to examine the Dr. Cook bitless bridle. The first time I rode Image in this LightRider noseband there was an amazing improvement in his attitude. He goes beautifully in it with no resistance of any kind, has not once been mouthy, turns on a dime, stops on a dime, and is a relaxed, happy boy. I've been out on the trails several times now and even with a hard spook, because the horse ahead of us spooked, he responded immediately and came back to me. I thought I might feel out of control with this noseband but instead feel a much closer bond and connection with my horse. I know he is more comfortable with this noseband and because it releases immediately I feel it is much more humane than some of the other bitless systems available. Image responds more quickly and I find that he is more responsive to my seat and legs and I need much lighter hands when riding. One thing that made us all laugh is that the first couple of times I took the headstall off Image he opened his mouth to let the bit out......and there wasn't a bit! Now he's got it figured out and we are both very happy. The leather was very soft and pliable from the first day. The only suggestion I could make for this product is to upgrade the keepers on the chin strap. It comes with Velcro keepers and these are pretty ineffective and I feared they would pull hair or rub my horse so I changed them out for stainless steel keepers which work much better. I highly recommend this product as it will create a much more relaxed and happy horse.....and rider.

Bit-less noseband

2 November 2015
I've used the bit-less on my paint and a very stubborn mule! So far they both are happy without the bit and are responding very well. Mule still needs a little work on stopping! But she had trouble in a bit too :( Very easy to attach to my current headstalls and I like being able to use a lead. Thanks!!
(5)

VERY IMPRESSED

10 September 2015
I have to admit that when I got on my horse using this for the first time, I was slightly nervous about going bit-less, but to my surprise my horse accepted it straight away & was just as soft & easy to neck rein stop & spin (he's a Reiner) so I have to say.. it gets the thumbs up from me.. I have gone from a shanked bit then to a snaffle & now bit-less so impressed & my horse is happy too. He's relaxed with this method & soft.. thanks Natural Horseworld Store :)

Highly Recommend

By: on 8 February 2015
I am so happy to find this noseband. The stitching was a little tight to easily interface it with my Parelli headstall. The keepers on the cob noseband were black velcro with havana leather. Not sure why as the keepers on the other noseband (full size) matched the dark brown leather. Great idea. Need a little more attention to detail re: stitching and keepers. I have been recommending it to the therapeutic riding centers where I volunteer. My two horses love it and have responded very softly to it.

Bitless noseband converts regular bridle

29 December 2014
This noseband is a superb idea! It has allowed me to easily convert my regular biothane bridle to a bitless version, so now both of my mammoth donkeys can go in comfort. Thanks so much for this innovation!
(5)

Great quality

By: on 10 December 2014
Purchased the beta noseband for a beta headstall that I had bought and adjusted for my short- headed Arab mare. I was very impressed with the workmanship of the noseband and it matched my headstall like they were made for each other. My mare had been ridden on and off with a side pull but it was too large for her, so the noseband was a perfect option for a correct fit. I rode with the side pull option the first ride but then switched to the chin strap with no problems. She is more responsive, especially on the turns, and appears happier without the bit, which caused her some anxiety when worked on various maneouvers. I feel I have complete control and will most likely use it for most of my riding. Thanks for the timely delivery and a well made product.

No complaints here.

Easy to purchase, shipped on time, made it to me on the other side of the world in perfect condition.

BITLESS NOSEBAND

My horse and I love this bitless noseband. It was awesome to be able to use my bridle as well. The information on your site is very informative and using the groundwork guides for the transition was invaluable. Thanks again, Alison and Ellie

Bitless Noseband

By: on 1 October 2014
After purchasing a bitless bridle (other brand) that just didn't work for my horse as the rings were too close to his eyes, I decided the try the bitless noseband, I was very pleased with this purchase as I was able to use it with my original bridle, the fit was good, the leather was soft, and most important of all my horse was happy.

easy noseband

i just bought our second noseband for our other horse, i am very happy with his transition. he is a lot happier without the bit :)

Such an innovative idea

By: on 28 July 2014
I had been advised to try a bitless bridle by a world-renowned horse behaviourist & trainer to address shying & overbending issues with my palomino QH gelding. Having a beautiful English leather snaffle bridle at home which suits him I was hesitant to purchase a bitless bridle. This noseband is the perfect solution. I must say, after 20+years of riding 'bitted' I am SO impressed with the lightness he has displayed in this. Any chance of a premium English leather version? Note from Store Owner: Yes we are looking at introducing these in English Leather too.
(4)

Wow

By: on 5 July 2014
I purchased the noseband in desperation as I had a young supposedly unbroken horse that was exhibiting all kinds of behaviour when a normal bridle was put within cooee of his head. ( Wish I had a video camera so I could send some pics) He would rear up and almost go over backwards to avoid having the bit anywhere near him. Goodness knows what had happened to him before I got him. I worked with him for a few weeks using a soft rope and advance retreat to get him to take something into his mouth so that he would allow me to put a gentle bit into his mouth but the ears were flat back and he was chomping and chewing on the bit in obvious discomfort. I had the vet and dentist check him out but nothing untoward was found. I checked some websites and thought your bitless noseband was the best option. The young fellow accepted the noseband straight away and after the usual groundwork I had no hesitation in hopping on his back . The ears remained in a reasonable position ( one back one forward ) and he was able to give me his full attention. Only one problem, in order to familiarise myself with the nose band I used it on another older horse, only to find that he was much more responsive in it and much much easier to slow down and halt. Therefore I need to save up and buy another one. Don't dare to try it on any more of my horses. Could be a big expenditure coming up! Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. P.S. It has also improved my riding, my hands are much softer and my balance has improved. You will be receiving another order from me shortly.

Best Bitless.

By: on 29 June 2014
Love our Lightrider Bitless noseband. I had an exceptional quality bridle and wanted to continue using it and this was the perfect solution. My horse is so responsive and whether we are chasing cows, riding in the forest or training in the paddock I couldn't be happier. Thanks LightRider.

excited

By: on 4 June 2014
I was so excited to finally find a bitless noseband that would work with my current bridles. I love the noseband but my bridles were too thick- harness leather-so I decided to keep looking for a bridle that will work with noseband. I ordered a full bridle and love it.

excellent product

By: on 15 May 2014
The lightrider bitless noseband has really changed my riding experience for the better. My 6 year old TB took to the aids immediately and is much calmer during ring work, along with on the trails. It was easy to assemble and only took 1 day of practice for my horse to understand what I was asking of him. highly recommend!

LightRider Bitless Noseband

Love the noseband converter

By: on 14 May 2014
My young daughter and I already use the Lightrider Natural bridles which we absolutely love -only light aids needed ;o) When the new pony arrived with a quality, but bitted bridle, I decided to use what he had, and just get a noseband rather than a whole new bridle. He transitioned to it immediately with no problems whatsoever -thanks again Cynthia for another great product!

NO Whoa...

By: on 30 April 2014
I was so excited to find this side pull and the reviews were very good. Yes, it is very well made! However, the horse I used it on is a horse I've owned since he was two, he's now 17 years old. I used a chain bit for years, then this year moved him to the mechanical hackamore. He loved "bitless"...so I wanted to do more for him, and ordered the Light Rider side pull. I'm sorry, but it has absolutely NO Whoa! He pushes and pulls through any manual request to stop. And I find the chin strap fails to release, and sets on one side of the nose band. He doesn't like it, and I'm not happy with it it either. I've gone back to the hackamore... Store Owner's Reply: The LightRider bridles are not designed to force a horse to comply. Only good education will give your horse a reliable 'whoa' so unless you are prepared to take the time to do that, then it is probably best to stay with devices like the hackamore that can cause enough pain to force a horse to stop. At least the bit is out of the horse's mouth. The release of the chinstrap is dependent on proper fitting too.

Great Decision for Dolly

By: on 25 March 2014
Every bit I tried resulted in head tossing and resentment from my mare. It didn't matter how little contact I made with the gentlest of bits, Dolly let me know she preferred NO bit! I started looking for something that fit our needs yet maintained a gentle feel for her. I found the LightRider Noseband, placed the order and converted my existing bridle into a bitless! She took to it immediately and responds as if she has a bit but no more tossing! She is still in training but the LightRider has given me a more agreeable mare. This was the right choice for us!

Excellent Product

By: on 25 March 2014
Having just purchased an Arab gelding I was having trouble bridling him then noticed he had an old tongue injury. So I thought Id give your Noseband a try. From the 1st day my boy has been an angel to bridle and working very well, we have been out trail riding in large groups of horses with no problems, he is a very happy responsive horse in your bridle. Thankyou.

Terrific product!!!!!!!!

By: on 28 January 2014
The noseband is a fantastic idea for those of us on a budget who can't afford or would like to give bitless a go before purchasing a bridle. The quality of the noseband itself is excellent and it is designed to be user-friendly. Thanks also Cynthia for your extra advice re: transitioning to bitless, we have a way to go but I'm determined !!

bitless noseband

By: on 22 January 2014
This is a very clever idea which makes use of the expensive bridles you may have put away when you decided to ride bitless. I have converted a handsome western bridle and an expensive English bridle to bitless and useful bridles using the nosebands. Now I have bitless bridles in my float for when I ride away from home and a couple in the shed for home riding --very convenient and a great form of recycling !

Super impressed with the lightrider noseband

By: on 27 November 2013
I am very impressed with the noseband. It fitted my current bridle perfectly and my horse adapted to the lightrider way very easily and quiickly. An excellent product!
(5)

Both of us are delighted!

By: on 7 September 2013
My elderly ex-endurance arab hates bits - so he was thrilled with his new noseband. Curious thing is that he's even more sensitive to signals now... seems like he's responding to the slightest movement of my body. It's beautifully made, and fulfils all my aesthetic demands!
(5)

Thank you - we love it!

By: on 19 June 2013
This is so great for converting your favourite bridle into a bitless. Easy to attach and user friendly.

No more being a Tosser!

By: on 11 June 2013
Previously used a cross-over poll pressure Bitless Bridle, but changed to this Noseband and my horse immediately responded by showing minimal head tossing and pulling against the poll. Marvellous Improvement! Also found this style of Bitless has softer direct and indirect reining for better communication, which is great. Thank You So Much Cynthia for creating an alternative that can be adapted to existing bridles.
(5)

Love the LightRider Bitless Bridle

By: on 3 June 2013
I wanted to go bitless with my quarter horse and tried the Dr. Cook but I don't really like the poll pressure concept, so when I saw the LightRider with the chin strap pressure, I was intrigued. Then when I found that I could order the noseband to use with my existing headstall, I ordered without hesitation!!! I have ridden several times and love it. So does my horse. Have had no control issues at all and I can just tell he loves the free feeling.
(5)

I love it. My horse loves it!

23 May 2013
I have never used a nose-band of any type before on my horse in the last 8 years. My horse never very happy about having his bridle put on. He waits quietly. I was a bit worried about being able to stop him, but I found I have just as much control in the bitless as with a bit, and I have extra confidence because I know no matter what happens I cannot hurt his mouth. He also used to always shake his head when asked to trot or canter. Without a bit in his mouth this habit ceased almost immediately. Cynthia, thank you so much for changing our lives! Fran.
(5)

happy horse

By: on 9 May 2013
We are using the light rider on a 5 year old off the track TB with good results. I think he goes even better in this than with a bit. It makes it easier to let the horse eat while out on a ride, is easier for my beginner rider son to put on, and the horse seems to like it more.
(4)

AWESOME

By: on 3 March 2013
I bought this nose band to convert my Parelli bridle to bitless. I have been riding in a natural hackamore for years so I was confident that he would transition well. Well that's the UNDERSTATEMENT of the century. He loves this bridle now. He was super responsive and light. No opposition AT ALL. He was lovely and relaxed on a loose rein but would also collect up and move into a lovely frame without any objection what-so-ever. A happy horse means an even happier me!! Thanks you Cynthia.

I bought this for my horse who HATES the bit, every time I put the bridle on it was a battle to open her mouth, then once on, she spent most of her time chewing the bit or tossing her head. It definately didn't make for a good ride. The first day I put the nose band on, was amazing, she was relaxed but responsive. Took no time at all for her to get used of it. I have been converted, no more bits for my horses.

Understanding

By: on 7 February 2013
My daughters horse was never happy with a bit in her mouth. All I wanted was a noseband I could attach to her bridle. So I did a bit of research and I was stoked to find Cynthia's bitless nose band. We havent looked back. The quality is amazing, The horses love it and it has improved my daughters riding. People always comment on it and usually end up buying one themselves. We would highly recommend Cynthias products to anyone wanting to go bitless.

great option for a bitless bridle

By: on 30 December 2012
I choose this bitless noseband because i wanted to keep using my headstall. The quality is outstanding and it was very easy to follow the directions on how to put it on my headstall. Cynthia went above and beyond answering my questions on adjusting the noseband. My horse took to the noseband with calmness and was very relaxed, he actually had a smile on his face while riding. He is used to riding in a bitless but this noseband is the one I choose to use for its quality and comfort to my horse. Cynthia's customer service is outstanding.

Still Brillant

14 December 2012
I got another Lightrider Bitless Noseband for my other two horses who need a different size then my first one. It works great with them also. I can use a very light touch of the reins or firm up if needed. I look forward to many hours of riding.

Brillant!

This was exactly what I wanted for my horse. He cannot wear a bit because the various people who had him before me never had his wolf teeth out and now it would be a surgical procedure (which I am not going to do.). He is a hot & reactive horse and this product gives me exactly the right firmness to match him. It also gives softness the rest of the time. The various halter set-ups would slide around his face too much but the cavesson keeps this right in place. I also received excellent customer service when there was a problem with the first chin strap sent to me. It looks good on him also.

Better than a bit!

By: on 14 September 2012
I bought the bitless nose band for my horse a few weeks ago after much research into different types of bits, trying to find one that my horse would be happy with. I bought her a bit which she seemed to accept quite readily but I still didnt feel 100% comfortable using bits on her. I thought I would try a bit less nose band to see how it compared with a bit. And after a few rides in it, I can say that she seems quite happy with it and responds well.I feel so much more comfortable riding her knowing that there is nothing in her mouth that could cause discomfort.

So far so good....

29 August 2012
Have ridden each of our horses in the bitless noseband and particularly one of them responded really well. (the other there wasn't much difference, accepted it happily) We have previously only ridden in halters and were after a little clearer contact. So after just a couple of rides, so far the response is great!

Great

My arabian mare is the most responsive and well-behaved that she has ever been with the noseband, as opposed to a bit. I will never put a bit in her mouth again. She is happier (no chewing/fighting) and so am I. I also think that the noseband is aesthetically pleasing and very practical, being able to attach to my bridle rather than having to buy a new one.

Faith in a bitless noseband.

8 June 2012
I traded one tall Quarter horse for a smaller one who was being ridden in a bosal with mecate reins. I decided to try this bitless noseband of which I had confidence in after reading its attributes. By the time the weather was decent I slipped and fell on my right shoulder breaking it. I have yet to use this noseband, I believe in it thus my review.

Bitless Noseband changed my horse's attitude

By: on 4 August 2011
I acquired Cooper, my 13 year old QH through a rescue and didn't know what kind of riding he was trained at. We tried western and english, but no matter what kind of bit I used, he would bob his head or shake it from side to side, constantly fighting the bit. Somebody suggested a bitless bridle and I started to look into it. I came across your company and the noseband made great sense to me, as I didn't want to buy another bridle and that way I could keep the one I already had. From the moment I put the new bitless noseband on, he was a different horse. He is easy to maneuver now, even jumps over hurdles. No more head shaking and refusing to move forward. The quality of the leather is excellent, I will purchase a new bridle for my other horse also.

Noseband open ride

By: on 16 May 2011
I rode out with my new noseband on my 3yr green horse which I started in a halter. He was fantastic, it was a 10km open hills ride with 14 other horses and he was calm, controlable and I was very proud of him as the older horsed played up (in bits). He responded well to HQ yields but backing was not as good as in the yards (we will work on it).

WOW!

So effective! The LightRider Noseband makes my horses sooo soft! They are incredibly responsive in it and it doesn't rub them one bit! It is also VERY easy to clean, and comes up brand new with just a wipe-over! :) I like to use it for Training and All-Rounder! Ridden or not, it's the perfect WELL PRICED Bitless Bridle! :)

A dream ride

By: on 28 October 2010
The first time I rode Silverbell with the bitless there was not a problem. She is a lot calmer doesn’t shy like before and no chewing of the bit, which used to bother me knowing that it must be extremely unpleasant, nor shaking of her head. Went for a 10 klm ride again today, and she was a dream.

I love the Bitless Noseband - and more importantly

By: on 21 September 2010
Firstly I was impressed with the quality. I read the instructions (something i don't often do) and took the time to make sure it fitted perfectly. The result was a great looking, well fitting bridle that my sensitive mare listens and responds to. I had previously tried the rope bitless bridle which i liked initially but i found it slipped around too much on my mare (perhaps it was too big?) The concept was good so i bought the noseband and we love it! The better fit allows me much softer control and i am very happy as she has finally relaxed - and so have i!

Thrilled

By: on 12 July 2010
I just wanted to say how thrilled I am with my bitless bridle. Pippin is a 7y.o anglo gelding who I have owned since a yearling. He was trained under saddle initially with a halter and only then had the bit and bridle introduced by a proffessional trainer who I felt did a fantastic job. I rode him in a conventional snaffle but occassionally due to circimstance i.e going for a trail ride at the beach and forgetting to pack my bridle, would end up in a halter and always found him super responsive. I purchased your bitless noseband and fitted it to my existing bridle. Wow. Pippin is just as responsive if not more so, will work in a collected frame doing flatwork and is very "controllable" on trail, road, and in company. You have given us a wonderful new dimension to our partnership and we are both thrilled. Thankyou for a wonderful product.

Whole New World has opened up!

By: on 5 July 2010
I really love the bitless noseband. It fitted easily and well on my existing bridle and with the clips I ordered as well I could attach my soft leather reins. My instructor, who teaches classical riding (NO pulling the head of the horse behind the vertical etc ...!! ) also thinks it is great. What I really like about bitless riding is that poll flexion cannot be forced (maybe unless one really pulled on the reins hard !? ) and that the horse’s head positions naturally from the poll as here with Bondi going long, low and relaxed while I am concentrating on my seat. It is like a whole new world has opened up to me! Thanks so much again for the nose band.

Top quality product

The lightrider noseband is fantastic. I had an expensive show bridle that I wanted to convert to bitless. The noseband fitted well and blended in with my existing bridle. I'm very happy with the quality and performance
