The swivel stops the reins from twisting and the closed scissor action stops the clip accidentally hooking onto something (like a wire fence) if your horse leans over while wearing the bridle.
I recommend you use these clips to attach your reins to the bridle for easy swapping between the lead ring/loop and the chinstrap.
Replacement Clips: If your horse has stepped on a rein and broken the clip, it’s easily replaced.
Better for the clip to break than the bridle or the horse!

Superior snaps

By: natasha on 5 January 2014Apart from all the other good points about these clips the one outstanding quality I found was that the stainless steel doesn't degrade in any way. Even after plenty of use, the clips continue to open and shut perfectly without sticking and maintain their appearance even after becoming wet from water or slobber. They are also the perfect weight for attaching to the light rider bitless bridle so that the chin strap functions correctly.

EASY TO USE!!
