NEW and IMPROVED, twice the concentration – Postbiotic Gut Support is now the most concentrated form of Diamond V (called TruEquine). The amount recommended to be fed has been halved. This means 2 kg Postbiotic Gut Support will last twice the time compared to the previous version.

Postbiotic Gut Support (TruEquine C/was called Diamond V XPC) is a proprietary strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast that can support:

  • A healthy immune system
  • A healthy hindgut microbiome for optimal digestion and gut function
  • An ability to resist change due to stress
  • Joint health and mobility

Postbiotic Gut Support (TruEquine C/ was called Diamond V XPC Ultra) is a postbiotic. As a postbiotic, it contains the beneficial metabolites or substances released from the fermentation of fiber by gut bacteria.

These support digestive and immune function, as well as nurture the gut microbiome and help it flourish.
A more robust and thriving gut microbial community can feed on and more fully digest ration feedstuffs.
As a result, more nutrients, such as carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals become available.

Saccharomyces products – which one do I feed?

XPC is the most concentrated form, more concentrated than Diamond V.

Safe for laminitis-prone or insulin-resistant (IR) horses.

Postbiotic Gut Support (TruEquine C/Diamond V XPC) can be fed with any of the mineral mixes, Equine Amino, Hydrate Support, and Mycosorb A+.

Postbiotic Gut Support is a nutritional supplement product for inclusion in horse feed. The product has no therapeutic effect and is designed to be administered in a feed for voluntary ingestion for horses.
Animal consumption only.

Feeding rate per day according to the manufacturer, Diamond V:

Feeding rate = 23 mg/kg body weight (was 46 mg/kg body weight) so effectively halved.

Multiply your horse’s body weight BW x 0.023 to get the amount in grams per day.

For example:

200 kg BW: 4.6 g/day

350 kg BW: ~8 mg/day

400 kg BW: ~9 g/day

450 kg BW: ~10.3 g/day

500 kg BW: 11.5 g/day

600 kg BW: ~14 g/day (was 28 grams)

Safe for all horses, including foals, mares and stallions.

1 metric volume tablespoon measure (20 ml) contains approximately 14 grams Postbiotic Gut Support.
This will depend on the density, and how tightly packed the spoon is.

Mix with feed. Ideally, divide the amount between meals if feeding more than once per day.

I have a young colt who arrived here in Dec 2021 aged 8 months and he was in a very poor state, i was worried about his condition and overall wellbeing its taken some time for him to start looking well and actually put on some weight, hes slowly improved since ive introduced the XPC , i can definately see the improvement and it will be interesting to watch how he comes through the very cold weather.
