The replacement chinstrap comes with either a buckle or D-rings - whichever you prefer for adjustment, and is designed to use your existing chinstrap rings. It is $2 cheaper if you also use your existing buckle so please select 'no hardware' in the options if you are just replacing the actual strap.  

We are trialling new keepers made from Velcro (double-sided hook & loop) so the chinstrap will come with these, along with the regular plastic keepers used before. 

Unique Chinstrap: The purpose of the soft webbing chin strap is to help the noseband stay in place when pressure is applied to the reins - this stops the noseband from twisting to give clear and direct communication.

When rein pressure is applied the chinstrap becomes snug but does not over-tighten due to the type of webbing used and way it wraps around the noseband ring, so 95% of the pressure is on top of the nose.
