This soft neoprene cover fastens over the bitless bridle chinstrap with velcro (all bridles & nosebands come with one).
It can be used with the smooth side or soft side facing out.

Good padding

Chin strap and cover
By: Marise Harrison on 9 November 2019Excellent quality throughout. Much improved with the soft removable cover as can be easily removed to wash. Promotes more comfort for the horse rather than nylon against the skin. These chinstraps are fantastic as I use them in two ways, as a direct sidepull by clipping both rings together or just clipping onto the one ring chin/curb strap. Never looked back since using the Light rider bridles, both my Arab and PRE mares are much happier and engaging bitless! I prefer the Lightrider bitless bridles from all other bitless combinations I have tried over the years to get fit, communication and comfort correct. Many thanks Cynthia for creating this and helping many horses much happier with no metal in their mouths.

Purchase of chinstrap cover
By: Andrew Jackson on 2 December 2017HI, I didn't realise when I purchased the bitless bridle that it came with the chinstrap cover. Looking at the photos it isn't obvious, so I didn't need to order the cover. Mind you, I don't think $3 will break the bank. Very happy with the bridle and my mare (who hates bits) is much happier, but is still struggling with backing up and dropping her nose, but this will come with time I'm sure. I also have significant arthritis in my fingers & found the reins too narrow for comfort, so I have changed to my cotton reins, which although they have leather straps at the end & are therefore heavier, do make it easier for me. Perfect Enhancement!
